Bio: Marcos Orozco is the Founder of The HARDKNOX Training Program, a national fire
service education and performance organization dedicated to developing
firefighters who can perform at the highest level under pressure.

A retired career firefighter with more than 18 years of service
and over 12 years of instructional experience, Marcos holds a Bachelor's
Degree in Exercise Science and has dedicated his career to bridging the
gap between fitness, human performance, and real-world fireground operations.
His instruction combines current research, evidence-based performance
principles, and operational experience to help firefighters become physically
capable, mentally resilient, technically proficient, and operationally
prepared.

Marcos serves as a Fire Academy Lead Training Officer, Fire Service
Educator, and national conference instructor, presenting across the United
States and Canada at conferences including FDIC International, Firemanship
Conference, Fire Shows West, Mile High Fire Conference, Mid America FOOLS,
Trails End Fire Conference
, and numerous regional conferences and
departments.

He is the creator of the nationally recognized “HARDKNOX: Performance
Under Pressure”
lecture and the HARDKNOX Firefighter Survival / SCBA
Confidence
hands-on training program, both designed to improve
decision-making, confidence, technical proficiency, and operational performance
under stress.

Marcos is also the co-founder of The Crucible, an intensive
24-hour firefighter performance event that challenges participants through
sustained physical work, mental adversity, teamwork, leadership, and realistic
problem-solving under pressure.

His philosophy is simple:

Preparation Determines Performance.

Every class, lecture, and hands-on evolution is designed with one
objective—to help firefighters become trusted assets on the fireground by
developing the confidence, competence, and resilience required to perform when
it matters most.
